Child Sessions
As a mom, I know that every child has their own personality and style. I also know that different ages need different approaches. From toddlers to teens, I work to put kids at ease and let them have some fun. A genuine smile and capturing personality is more important than then perfect pose, so I keep direction to a minimum and let kids be themselves.
Details and Scheduling
I can include a few child portraits as part of a family session, or we can schedule a fun photoshoot just for them. For child centered sessions I keep things moving and try to incorporate some play or lighthearted moments. If your child has a favorite hobby or special interest, we can also work those into some of the images (don't worry you will get the more traditional ones too).
The best light is at the beginning or end of the day, when the sun is low in the sky. This changes with the seasons, so we can find a time of day, and time of year, that works best for your kids. To get started, use the contact form to send me a message.
You will always receive a full set of edited digital images for download with a perpetual license for printing and online use. I firmly believe these images are for you, I am just lucky enough to capture them. Images will be delivered through an online gallery, which also provides options for prints and photobooks.
Pricing
All of my photoshoots require a booking fee of £100, which goes towards your final cost.
Child sessions start at £350 for a one-hour session at a single location. We will usually walk to different parts of your location to provide a variety of settings and a chance to play. You can expect a minimum of 30 varied images but will often receive more. If you would like to book an extended session, or prefer multiple locations, please indicate this in your message and I will create a custom package for you.
